Our honest take
Castle, Old Town and metro in one? Then the official Prague Visitor Pass is our pick. It runs for 48, 72 or 120 hours from first use, includes Prague Castle, the Jewish Museum and the Old Town Hall with its tower, and is the only pass here that doubles as your ticket for the metro, trams and buses. The catch: it is the most expensive of the three, and the city says nothing about cancellation.
Castle and Jewish Museum spread over several days? The CoolPass is valid for one to six consecutive days and includes both, plus a hop-on hop-off bus. The catch: no public transport, and no cancellation terms are published.
Just the castle at a fixed time? The Prague Pass works with fixed time slots that you book. It cannot be cancelled.
When you don't need a pass: if you only want to visit Prague Castle and otherwise stroll through the Old Town, a single ticket for the castle is enough.

Booking runs directly with the respective provider. You get the CoolPass either as a QR code in the app or as a chip card that you collect in Prague. How the other cards are delivered is stated in the booking window of the provider.
